My passion for filmmaking began in 2014, when I started creating videos of myself playing hockey and doing trick shots for my Instagram account, @hkydude, which eventually grew to over 50K followers. From there, I started a YouTube channel, Tyler Day Hockey, where I film, edit, produce, and post videos of myself conducting hockey training demonstrations, product reviews, hockey challenges, and more. These videos have accumulated over 4 million views.

As a Social Media Influencer, I have partnered with 15+ hockey companies to help them reach their target audience through my social media sites.  Most recently I began producing highlight videos for college and high schools sports teams, as well as for individual athletes.

I regularly find ways to use my film production and editing skills at my high school; assisting the Communications Department with alumni, student life, and athletics videos; and creating documentaries of community service events for the Service Learning office to share on the school website and with the school community.
